What is your teaching superpower?

To find pleasure in the state of the teacher’s soul: constant anxiety, desire for the unknown and love for children. When Maiia teaches as a substitute teacher, students do not want to return to their former teachers.

21st Century Teacher: Who are they in a nutshell?

They use soft skills: teamwork, empathy and tolerance; in teaching they prefer integrated approaches. In her lessons, Maiia is implementing the SEE Learning programme she learned about in India. It is based on three blocks: social, emotional and ethical. And the favorite technique in general is the applied tasks that build bridges between theory and practice for school children.

What skills do Alpha generation students need? Ability to communicate, think critically, and adapt quickly to change. Maiia does not “stuff” her students with knowledge, but teaches them to be flexible.

Professional dream: To be a mentor for school children. Therefore, encourage them to enter pedagogical universities. To do this, Maiia takes an active part in the School of Young Teachers on the basis of the Khmelnytskyi NGO. Another goal is to continue to inspire teachers and parents with restlessness and expertise.

Source of inspiration: Sincere nicknames, such as “our Maiia” or “our mom”. Maiia notes that her students are the whole essence of her existence. In addition also a graduate book with a dedication to “Maiia Tutaieva” in white letters on the cover.
