Why did you become a teacher?

I had a dream: either to teach or to treat. As a result, I became a teacher and tried to raise a healthy nation.

Innovation

I use the methods of social work (Learning by Serving), collective interaction (Total Physical Response), and communicative learning (Communicative Approach).

I became the winner of the Ukrainian-American program TEA Program and Teaching English and American Studies. I support the Secondary School Exchange Program.

I received a grant for “Exchange of specialists and projects for students” from the American Councils. I have been working with USA educators for nine years. During this time, the Verkhnorohachytsk Secondary School became a sister school of the Riverside High School in Durham (North Carolina, USA) and implemented more than 10 projects. Even the life of the village has improved: roads, schools have been repaired, a park, playgrounds and cafes for children have appeared. I have been twice awarded the United States Government Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Teaching English and American Studies”.
