Liudmyla Bondariuk

Location: Vynohradiv, Zakarpattia oblast
School: Vynohradiv Secondary School №8 of grades I-III
Subject: Art, Musical art, Art culture
Superpower: “Teacher” for Lyudmila is an umbrella term that combines a dozen different professions: from choreographer to translator. In the lessons by the Finnish system, her students learn to dance, go on virtual tours to the Vatican and play guitars.
21st Century Teacher: Who are they in a nutshell?
They can “do” themselves from scratch, as well as to inspire people around. Liudmyla’s first specialty is not pedagogical. However, this did not prevent her from becoming the youngest winner of the Teacher of the Year competition in Ukraine. Her students are not afraid to dream boldly: thanks to the instructions of Liudmyla, a graduate from a village in Transcarpathia conquered the capital.
What skills do Alpha generation students need?
Ability to think critically, express one’s opinion freely and be a responsible citizen, and also to work in a team. The credo of Liudmyla’s pupils was borrowed from Beethoven — “Through the struggle for victory.”
Professional dreams: To be such a teacher for school children that she dreamed of as a child. Liudmyla invents original musical and mathematical techniques with Japanese bells, creates interfaith choirs, and explains classicism with the help of landscape design.
Source of inspiration: Children who do not stand still, but work to succeed. Pupils who did not know about Picasso before the meeting with Liudmyla will start participating in the Academy of Arts in a year.
