Evaluation of the application forms by educational organizations

At the stage of selection of the TOP-10 from TOP-50 it is important to involve experts who have experience and understand the peculiarities of education in Ukraine. In addition, it is an opportunity to involve more educational change-makers to voice their opinions. That is why the TOP-50 application forms are handed over to a working group of 5 partner NGOs *in random, non-rated order (without specifying points from volunteer offices). These NGOs are AIESEC, Linguist, EdPro, Teach for Ukraine and GoGlobal. Each of the organizations analyses the application forms  and video cards of the best 50 participants.

Organizations form working groups of 3 to 5 people and identify the person responsible for finalizing and transferring the final scores to the system. This process is explained by the Award Project manager during the briefing for each individual organization.

The representative responsible for finalizing and transmitting the final data of each organization certifies it by signing a joint assessment protocol, which also records the assessments of each member of the working group (score sheet). After that the information is transferred to Osvitoria.

Each member of the working group evaluates each block (question) of the application form on a scale from 0 to 5 points. The minimum amount of points that an applicant can score is 0, the maximum is 40. After that, there is a discussion internally in the team (calculation of the average score for each of the blocks of questions). Next, the final score for each teacher is calculated as the sum of the average scores for each of the blocks of questions. The final scores on each of the blocks of questions for each candidate are set in the system by the representative responsible for finalizing the results.

The rating table with the scores given to each teacher in the TOP-50 from each educational organization is sent to Osvitoria by August 26th. As in the case of volunteer offices, points issued by an expert circle enter the system automatically during their issuance. The program compiles tables from all organizations and the method of calculating the arithmetic mean displays the TOP-10 rating.

If several teachers scored the same number of points in 10th place, the decision on who to include in the top 10 is made collectively by the representatives responsible for finalizing the results in each of the 5 partner NGOs.
